Notice of Nomination Proceedings
PURSUANT TO THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT
Notice
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Resort Municipality of Stanley Bridge, Hope River, Bayview, Cavendish and North Rustico that a Municipal Election will be held on August 8, 2022 to elect 1 Mayor and 6 Councillors for the Resort Municipality for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of September 2026.
The nomination period for the Mayor and Councillor positions commences on July 13, 2022 and closes at 2:00 pm on July 22, 2022.
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, Monday – Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., located at 7591 Cawnpore Lane.
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 a.m. on July 26, 2022.

Our municipality hosts a yearly Multi-Cultural Community Heritage Day that is usually held on the last Saturday in June.
This year’s event took place on Saturday June 30, 2018. In the first photo, George Clark Dunning, Planning Board Chair presents Shawn McGee & Cathy Sinclair with the Business Beautification Award.
In the second photo the Residential Beautification Award is presented to Kent & Sharon Gallant.
In the last photo Planning Board Chair Clark Dunning presents the Dr. Kent Ellis Memorial Award in recognition of outstanding commitment to volunteerism in the community to Dick & Judy Rowell.
