The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is the Canadian national police service and an agency of the Ministry of Public Safety Canada. The RCMP has a detachment during the summer months located in the Resort Municipality which serves the municipality and surrounding communities. The detachment of the RCMP is responsible for keeping residents and visiting guests safe by preserving the peace, upholding the law, and providing our community’s policing service.
For emergencies dial 911. Due to the distance from the closest hospital and ambulance service, it is recommended to request that the local fire department in your area be sent to the call to ensure that you are getting the quickest medical attention.
The RCMP Detachment can be contacted at 902-368-9300.
