I was born in Prince Edward Island (PEI), one of 5 children of Ken and Jane Brammer. I currently live, along with my wife Patricia, in Stanley Bridge, PEI.
I graduated from the University of PEI in 1982 with a BBA. From 1982-1994 I worked for International Business Machines (IBM) as an account executive in Halifax, Toronto and Saint John. I returned to PEI in 1994 and worked in Economic Development with the Provincial Government until 2022 when I retired having been the Senior Director of International Trade and Strategic Initiatives.
For the past six years, since 2018, I have served as a Councilor for the Resort Municipality of Cavendish. On August 12, 2024 I won the by election to serve as the Mayor of the Municipality. My initial term is for two years. I truly enjoy serving the community!
I have served on many community Boards and Committees through the years including Charlottetown Minor Hockey Association, the PEI Sports Hall of Fame, the Anne of Green Gables Licensing Authority and the Information Technology Association of PEI.
Patricia and I have a daughter, a son, a son in law, a daughter in law and three young grandsons.
